Warren: I want to hear from you

Thank you to the voters of Newton — those who supported me and those who didn’t. You participated in one of the liveliest and competitive mayoral races in recent memory and showed your passion for and commitment to this remarkable city.

I began this campaign to be your mayor because I wanted to serve the community I love and grew up in. I am honored that you have given me that opportunity and pledge to live up to the confidence you expressed in me on Tuesday. I am already hard at work planning the transition. As promised throughout the campaign, I intend to run an open and honest government — one that is transparent and accountable to you. And that begins with the transition. I want to thank Representative Ruth Balser for running an outstanding campaign — one filled with substance and totally without acrimony. I believe our two teams have set the positive tone for moving Newton forward. I am looking forward to working with her and all our supporters to make a difference here in this wonderful city.
