Warren has the vision to be another Ted Mann
Let me tell you why I’m voting for Setti Warren for mayor and ask you to do the same. I first met Setti about twenty years ago when we both served on the Archdiocesan Pastoral Council together. Setti was a recent graduate of Boston College at the time and I remember thinking that I’d be very pleased if my two young sons grew up to be like him.
Setti ran FEMA in New England during the last year of the Clinton Administration after having worked in the White House. He’s the real thing, the class act of the field, the candidate with the vision, the education, the integrity and the experience to run the city. I knew Ted Mann when he was mayor and I see the same leadership qualities in Setti that I saw in Mayor Mann. I remember writing a column in the TAB after Ted Mann died that there will never be another Mayor Mann. I think now that I was wrong I think Setti has the vision, the management skills and the leadership ability that Ted Mann had. In this economy, we need a mayor with those skills. Please join me in electing Setti Warren as Newton’s next mayor.
