Input for Finance Topics
Last Thursday, the Finance Transition Team held a session for community input with a group of people who expressed interest in that team’s activities through our website. We invited this group to come up with ideas on how to achieve our goals of planning a performance-based management, budgeting and reporting system; evaluating key issues in negotiating total compensation packages; and taking an inventory of our physical infrastructure so that we can create a prioritized plan for capital investments. Here are some of our results.
Performance Management
Mayor-elect Warren will be implementing a performance management system designed to measure and report on how well each department is delivering critical programs and services. We asked our group to identify measures that can improve efficiency and help each department budget effectively.
