The Setti Warren Campaign is pleased to announce that Ward 1 School Committee Member, Geoff Epstein, has formally endorsed Setti Warren for Mayor of Newton. In addition to his school committee duties, Geoff owns and operates a web information consulting business, RGB Software Inc. A 19-year resident of Newton, he is a past member of the Underwood and Bigelow PTOs, served as Board President of Underwood After School Program for two years and is a founding member of Newton 20/20, an organization which seeks to bring best practices to Newton government.
"I am endorsing Setti Warren because after a very productive and detailed conference with him this week, I concluded that we have a high degree of resonance in both ideas and approaches on all the issues I care about in Newton, especially those related to the school system,” said Epstein. “For me, it went well beyond the abbreviated impressions one gets from forums. Setti has a full grasp of the issues and the leadership skill to bring the change we need to Newton. “
"I am honored to receive Geoff Epstein's endorsement,’ Warren said. “His passion for bringing 21st century technology to the classroom, his pursuit of excellence in math and science, and his emphasis on results oriented decision making in our school system will improve the education level of every child. I look forward to working with him to move the Newton Schools forward. "
